The Perfect Cup of Coffee

I left most of my kitchen things in Mexico and while I was sad to see them go, I figured it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be replaced. Among the glasses and plates were a pair of coffee mugs bought years ago at the art fair here in west Michigan. They’re well worn and the handle has been reattached to one at least three times, but I love them.

As luck would have it, the same art fair was this weekend and I found a new set. They aren’t exactly the same, but I lurve them all the same.

The sipping view.

Now I just need to fire up the coffee pot.

Pottery is my weakness. There is something about glazed stoneware that I totally adore. Our art shows don’t begin until Aug. and Sept. 🙁

I can’t remember the last time I bought coffee mugs. At some point I must have, because there are dozens here (the best thing about having so many is that it saves me from washing up immediately), and I know there are more in boxes if I could be bothered hunting. There must be an explanation…

Those are, indeed, amazing mugs, but they are the type which demands proper coffee. None of the instant stuff. Go treat yourself to a bag of beans – once you taste the difference, you’ll be wondering what the hell you’ve been drinking for all these years.
