The Second Day of the Rest of Your Life

*looks around*

Everyone still here? Good. With all this talk of doomsday and questions of what you’d do if the world WERE about to end, I can’t help but look at this as a chance for renewal. A time for reflection and maybe a couple resolutions (if I believed in that sort of thing.)

I have lots of goals for my life, many involved with writing but not all, but there’s one thing I’ve wanted to do for YEARS—possibly decades—so I’ve decided this is the year I’m going to do it.

What’s my lifelong goal? I’m going to make a quilt.

I don’t have a sewing machine, but I have a great idea for the pattern. I’m using material I already have so if I start now I may finish it in time for winter.

What about you? What’s something you’ve always wished you’ve done but never made time for? Care to declare it today?

I would just love to see a few countries before I kick the bucket. I am grateful to have friends all over & post pictures but I wanna see some for myself. Good luck with your quilt!!

  2. I’ve had this same dream! I started a beautiful log cabin design made woth satin, pastels in college, but I didn’t have a chance to finish.

I’d like to get my black belt in TKD, too.
