This has been a BUSY week! After six weeks of writing at maximum speed (which for me is 1000+ words per day) I’m excited to share that I’ve finished the first draft of The Slope Rules! I still have a long way to go with editing, editing, a writing conference, and more editing, but I’ve had so much fun writing this book and I already can’t wait to share it with you. (But I will wait because, you know, editing.)
I’ve also finished reading Marissa Meyer’s Cinder series and holy crap, you need to read these books. Here’s where you can buy them. Thank me later.
Earlier this month I shared my Feel Good Story of the Year, about an unwilling student who was persuaded to read Flicker and slowly admitted he liked it. Well, this past week I found out he’s not only finished it, he’s started on Fracture! Double win!
Also this past week, I received the most perfect gift from my work Secret Santa: a paperweight that’s a pile of pens and a quote from Ben Franklin that says, “Either write something worth doing or do something worth writing.” That’s my kind of motivation!
I ALSO recently discovered that I’m at the top of a Listopia list on Goodreads: The Best YA Time Travel. Way to make a girl feel good, friends!
Finally, it’s not too late to download your very own copy of Flicker for just 99¢. OR The Flicker Effect trilogy for $4.99. That’s $2 less than if you bought them separately. Go now! I’ll still be here when you’re done.
