Getting to Know Theresa Pocock

Please help me give a big Hoosblog welcome to Theresa Pocock!

Theresa has been writing for fifteen years and has more story ideas than she could possibly write and still have a life. She is an avid audible ‘reader’, boardgame lover, Zelda player, book collector, adventure chaser, and history ‘studier’, besides being a mother of three, a musician and a homeschooler. Also in her life are two Yorkies named Teddy and Wilbur, a hot husband named Andy, and many many supportive and amazing friends. She lives on the Olympic Peninsula but is an Idaho girl at heart.

Tell us about your book!

Apocalypse is book 2 of the Guardians series, which tells the story of a family of magical Beings that guard the Garden of Eden.

The Joneses plan for Edenia and Miriam is far more intense than Seth bargained for. Can Seth really take vengeance of this kind, on Miriam?

Miriam hopes she will not regret the trust she’s put in Seth because if she loses him, she might just lose her faith.

Peter senses the Guardians have a bigger task than just keeping Immortality safe from the world, but until he makes peace with his nemesis, he won’t figure out how his unique Nature plays a role.

In the second book of the Guardians series, the Edenians will fight to save seven thousand years of secrets as they wade into the chaos of the Apocalypse.

Now for the fun stuff!

What’s your favorite genre? Do you read what you write?

Fantasy. Yes!

What’s your favorite part about writing?

The actual creation. The writing. I basically hate everything else that has to do with the writing/marketing process.

What’s the hardest part of writing for you?

Editing, I’m crap at commas and grammar.

What’s an activity unrelated to writing that you love?

I’m a forever student. If I am not actively learning something new, I am not happy.

Who’s your biggest cheerleader?

I have a few friends who are so supportive it’s astounding.

I don’t know anyone who loves both first drafts and editing. I’m a fan of the creating part too.

Now I’d like to play a fun little game called This or That. As a writer, I find that a lot of interviews ask the same questions, so I always appreciate sharing something new about myself. I’m super excited about these questions—and I hope you enjoy them!
