Happy Birthday, Eve Ellaway

Eve and Gen Ellaway turn a year old today! The idea for Eve’s story first came to me over TEN years ago, but I didn’t start writing it until the end of 2018, and finally published in 2025. This book was definitely a long time coming!

Eve’s story challenged me in ways I never anticipated, she persisted through the pandemic, and it’s hard to believe she’s been unraveling for a full year. She’s won several awards, received amazing reviews from everyday readers and industry professionals, and caused one bookseller to exclaim:

Girl, what trauma did you experience in childhood!!!!!!!???? This is spectacular!

If you haven’t read Eve’s story yet, I have good news:

The Quiet Unraveling of Eve Ellaway is on sale for 99¢!

If you’re not a fan of ebooks, you can also order: Paperback | Hardcover | Audiobook

I’m happy to ship signed books, so let me know if that’s something you’re interested in. Or, if you’re in Michigan, I’ll be at the Third Coast Author & Book Festival on Saturday, March 21 from from 11am–4pm!

Last year was a huge success and organizers have even more planned for this year. I will be in Central Park Place (aka the Community Center) in Grand Haven but authors will be stationed allllllll over town, so if you’re a book lover, you do not want to miss this event. Headlining authors include Erin A. Craig, Richard Chizmar, Adriane Leigh, Jimmy Juliano, W. H. Chizmar, Christopher Cosmos, and Lisa Childs!

More on Eve

TQUEE was the hardest book I’ve ever written and it’s so gratifying to see it get such a positive reception. (Of course it’s not all positive, but it’s a fact of life that you’ll never please everyone and I’m A-ok with that.)
